If you have time on the front end or back end of traveling, spending a day in Annapolis is worth it! Check out the Naval Academy or sail around the bay!
If you have time on the front or back end of traveling, visiting Washington DC is a great place to spend a day. Visit the National Mall, Lincoln Memorial, museums or Georgetown. If you plan to visit DC, I suggest flying in and out of Dulles Airport. The drive to the venue is a little longer than BWI 1.5 hrs vs 2 hrs but it will end up saving you time in the long run.
If you are spending more than a couple days on the east coast and want to check out the Atlantic, the Delaware and Maryland beaches are worth a visit. Bethany beach is a personal favorite and where the deMuth family has been vacationing their whole lives. The beaches are roughly 1.5 hours from Easton, MD and will be a 3-4 hour drive back to the closest main airports (BWI or Dulles)
